The announcement of the York Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition 2006 award winners will be made at the Awards Dinner on the evening of Friday 23 June 2006.
Fine dining in York's fabulous Ragged Robin Restaurant, an evening of excellence to celebrate our fine oils and food of the Avon Valley.
The sumptuous three course menu has an olive theme, using fresh local produce. The award winning oils will be announced at the dinner and prizes presented.
MENU
Pesto bread with York olives and EVOO * * * * Warm ‘Quarraluna’ goats cheese, roast pepper and basil tart with mesculin salad and a trio of dressings or Pressed chicken and leek terrine with black olive tapenade and grilled sourdough * * * * Confit of duck with rösti and cassis jus or Red throat emperor ‘en papilotte’ on rösti and a green pea sauce
both served with Cardamom glazed carrots Parma wrapped french beans York lemon olive oil dressed greens * * * * Sticky date pudding with mascapone cream and butterscotch sauce or Apple and raisin cobbler with vanilla ice cream
